About Us

Nineteen 98 Productions is an independent production company which was established in 2018 by Harriet Snaith. Harriet's passion for the arts began at a young age in the Southern Highlands, NSW. In 2017 she moved to Sydney to train at Actors Centre Australia however soon discovered a growing interest in producing. Working at Hayes Theatre Co and Sydney Theatre Company, Harriet was inspired by various production companies and especially by producer Lisa Campbell. In early 2018, Harriet undertook a Producers Intensive Course with Kate Gaul and soon after opened Nineteen 98 Productions with the vision to create more opportunities for women and the LGBTQI+ community in the arts. 

Nineteen 98 Productions welcomed Madison Lee to the company in early 2020 as resident director and choreographer. Madison graduated from the Musical Theatre stream at Showfit in 2012 and Patrick Studios Australia in 2014. Her recent creative credits include the 2017- 2019 Sydney Mardi Gras Parade, Falsettos (StageArt), the Brisbane production of Bare the Musical (Understudy Productions), Mad World (David Butler Studios),  Garfield The Musical (Melbourne International Comedy Fest) The Wild Party (Little Triangle), the Australian premiere of Razorhurst (Hayes Theatre Co), the Australian premiere of Ghost Quartet (Antipodes Theatre Co), the Sydney production of Nine the Musical (Little Triangle), Les Miserables (Packemin Productions), DreamSong (EbbFlow Productions), the 25th Anniversary Concert of Jekyll & Hyde with Anthony Warlow (Concertworks), Hi5 (Hi5 World), Stepping Out (Nineteen98 Productions) and The Fosse Legacy (Nice Work Productions). Madison was nominated for Best Choreography (The Wild Party) at the 2019 Sydney Theatre Awards. Madi has taught dance, workshops and open classes Australia wide.

Nineteen 98 Productions has recently moved from Sydney and is now a Melbourne based company.
